Symposium 18: Synchrotron Radiation and Applications on Material Science Symposium Scope Synchrotron radiation source is known as the most intense light source in science community. Not only the extremely high intensity property, spectra of synchrotron source also covers from infrared to hard X-rays.Therefore, it has been applied in many different fields of scientific research from archaeological, agricultural, environmental, medical to industrial applications, especially in material science. Synchrotron radiation has been used in various techniques such as XRF, XRD, PES/PEEM and XAS. This symposium will give you an opportunity to explore the usefulness of the synchrotron radiation in different fields as well as to exchange knowledge and experience with synchrotron experts. Topics: The symposium will focus on research on material science using synchrotron radiation with different techniques. Some synchrotron techniques such as XAS and PES will be introduced.
