Impotant! Please read the details below before applying for a student helper position of the 1st MRS-Thailand 2017 International Conference.
Requirements for a student helper
1) The organizing committee will call all student helpers for a special training on Tuesday, 24 October 2017, 2 pm – 6 pm at the Empress Hotel. All student helpers must be present at the training. If you cannot be present at the training, please do not apply for a student helper position. Anyone who applied to be a student helper but does not participate in the training, you will be automatically dismissed as a student helper.
2) A student helper needs to be present and stand by at a conference room, at a registration site, or other designated areas all the time during the conference period (1 November – 3 November 2017). The normal working date and time will be 1 November (8:00 am-6:30 pm), 2 November (8:00 am – 6:30 pm), and 3 November (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).
3) On 31 October 2017 in the afternoon (1:00 pm – 6:30 pm), about 5 students helpers will be needed for helping with arranging poster board and another 5 students will help with setting up the full paper submission process.
4) Each student helper will be compensated for his/her work at the rate of 300 Baht/day. Some student helpers may be asked for their notebook rentals. If possible, the organizer would like to rent for 3 days (1 November – 3 November 2017) and the rental rate will be 500 Baht/day. The total number of notebooks needed is 14 per day.
5) Student helper can have coffee breaks during the conference and the organizer will provide the lunch box. Student helpers are not allowed to participate in the “Welcome Reception” and “Banquet”.
6) Dress in a polite and not-colorful uniform, for example, black shirt and jean. |
